Top 6 Website Marketing Tips – Choose One And Get Crackin’
By
Website Marketing Tips – Why is marketing your website so important? So you have a website but somehow it isn’t delivering the financial nirvana everybody said it would. You’ve spent time, money and more trying to make your website look awesome and it does. You’ve even got killer content on it but you aren’t able to generate leads or sales or achieve whatever your end game is. Life sucks, huh?
So, what’s the problem? Any guesses? Is it possibly not enough traffic (visitors)? I think I am spot on here because the biggest problem with most people is that they do everything else but market their website. Marketing is a comprehensive term that involves the complete process of traffic generation and conversion but it must start with traffic. I mean having a great converting business without traffic would be pointless. The great thing though is that generating traffic on the Internet is quite simple (it’s not rocket science) but keep in mind that it’s a bit tedious (of course you can use technology to make your life a whole lot easier).
Top 6 Website Marketing Tips
1. Pay-Per-Click Advertising: If you want speed then it doesn’t get much faster than this. Pay Per Click refers to online advertising where you are only charged for your ad when the visitor your are targeting cllicks on your ad (Cost Per Click). With Facebook Pay Per Click you also have the option of paying per thousand ad impressions (CPM). While paid advertising is very effective, if you know what you are doing, it is just as important that your website and your marketing system or sales funnel works really well otherwise you’ll be left with a big hole in your pocket and a negative ROI (return on investment).
2. Search Engine Optimization: This is probably the slowest way to market your website but the most effective in term of longevity and best of all it’s totally free. Search Engine Optimization or SEO involves optimizing your website so that it can rank on top Google search and other search engines for particular keywords. Once there your site will benefit from a steady stream of free laser targeted visitors. SEO is great because unlike PPC advertising (where your visitors stop the moment your budget is exhausted), you’ll continue to receive visitors long after you’ve done the hard work of ranking your site or blog.
3. Article Marketing: The old war horse of website marketing. Still works great today which is why I still use it. Writing articles and then distributing them has many benefits. It generates traffic, establishes you as an expert and can help you generate tons of backlinks for a high position in Google and other search engines for free and residual traffic (SEO).
4. Social Media Marketing: This strategy is focused all around websites like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn (even Youtube is considered social media) to name a few. These places are buzzing with people and have the added benefit of providing you or your website with great credibility through social proof (in the form of likes, comments, followers and other means of social validation). Social Media Networks also allow you to build a real marketing asset for your website and business by helping you create and grow your network. The great advantage of social media though lies in its viral nature which can spread your message like wild fire.
5. Video Marketing: The fact of the matter is that we all love video and Youtube’s popularity is an attestment to that. Sites like Youtube have so much traffic that promoting your website on Youtube is definitely worthwile. With Youtube you can actually build a marketing asset for your business or website through subscribers to you channel. You can create short product demos, helpful tutorials, Q&A type videos, powerpoint style videos or anything that is VALUABLE content. The other awesome thing is that you can use your Youtube video to rank for competitive keywords in Google search which might otherwise be impossible. Of course, there are other video sharing sites as well and you should syndicate your video content to them after submitting to Youtube.
6. Blog Commenting: Blog commenting is an extremely effective multi reward website marketing strategy and best of all it’s 100% free. By commenting on other people’s blogs in your niche you can generate high quality laser targeted traffic to your website or blog and get high quality (and High Page Rank) backlinks to your website or blog for top rankings in Google and other search engines. The other great thing about blog commenting besides the fact that it’s a totally free strategy, is that it’s a superb way to create a presence in your niche. You can use this free software to help you find high authority blogs. This software makes blog commenting really easy. Recently I used this software to promote a new blog I had started. I did around 20 – 25 comments daily and I did so for about 40 days straight. The results surprised even me. Just using blog commenting my site started pulling about 600 visitors daily. Not bad, eh!
My advice to you is this. Website marketing isn’t an option but a necessity so get rolling with it. If you can afford it outsource it, otherqise choose one strategy and master it and don’t even try another till you’ve mastered it. That proably is the best tip right there. Hope this post was helpful. Would love to hear your thoughts on these website marketing tips so please leave a comment and don’t forget to share this or like this or tweet this, adios for now.
